experiences of accessing research funding from charitable trusts and foundations – event October 28th, 16.00-17.00

This autumn we are delighted to welcome three guest speakers to share their insights with doctoral and early career researchers based in all schools at UEL. These seminars, including a presentation from our speaker followed by questions and discussion, will address general challenges and opportunities that may present themselves in any research career. From the experiences and expertise our speakers will share from their own research pathways, we hope you will feel more equipped as you continue to embark on yours.

Professor Federica Marelli-Berg is the BHF Professor of Cardiovascular Immunology at The William Harvey Research Institute, Barts and The London (QMUL). Federica has held research funding from the MRC, British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She will join us to discuss working with charitable foundations as research funders. Chair: Kate Adams
