The British Academy issues an annual call for outstanding conference proposals. The scheme presents an exceptional opportunity for UK scholars to run a landmark event as part of the Academy’s events programme.
They are looking for proposals that will be pivotal events, of lasting significance in their field. Successful conferences will bring together established and emerging scholars from around the world to present and discuss new research in the humanities and social sciences. Held at the British Academy and other venues across the UK, these events will offer students, scholars and specialists a chance to expand their networks and learn about the latest developments in their subject areas.
The deadline to submit a proposal to hold a British Academy Conference in 2021 is 5pm on 29 January 2020. Please refer to the guidelines before submitting your proposal on Flexi-Grant.
