The BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants are available to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. These awards, up to £10,000 in value and tenable for up to 24 months, are provided to cover the cost of the expenses arising from a defined research project.
Once again UEL will limit the numbers of bids which we will submit to the call. Each College will be able to submit up to 2 bids and each Institute 1 bid.
If you wish to be considered then please complete a GIF and send to Reds@uel.ac.uk with the subject section entitled ‘BA/Leverhulme GIF bid’ by Midday Friday 11 May – this will be the sole document on which bids are assessed. Prospective proposals will be evaluated by Directors of Research, ReDS and Grantcraft using the same assessment criteria as on page 16 of the scheme guidance notes for Applicants so please ensure that you complete your GIF with this in mind. Candidates will be selected and informed of the results early the next week, allowing 3 more weeks to final submission – all selected candidates will be offered support from Grantcraft.
Ensure that you will be able to complete the application in time to submit to the funder by their deadline of 6 June 2018 (5pm UK time) before submitting a GIF.
