London Higher Specialist Workshop ‘Horizon 2020: One Year In – Learning to Succeed’ Lessons learnt from bid submissions to the 2014-2015 programme period of Horizon 2020 Tuesday 17 March 2015 with Michael Browne Head of European Research & Innovation (UCL)

Last chance to register to the following London Higher specialist workshop…!  Please feel free to forward this to your appropriate colleagues to confirm their attendance.

Over the past year London Higher, in association with UCL, has hosted a series of workshops covering Horizon 2020, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly £80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014-2020). The workshops have covered various programmes of the 2014-2015 calls including ERC Starter Grants, ERC Consolidator Grants, Health Collaborative Research, Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) and ERC Bid Writing.

In March 2015, one year on, London Higher and UCL are hosting a unique event to explore how the new programmes are running in reality. ‘Horizon 2020: One Year In – Learning to Succeed’ is built around careful analysis of successful and unsuccessful bids made in the first year of H2020. What works? How are certain key terms being interpreted by the Commission? And how can you best prepare for the next round of calls? There will be a particular emphasis on ‘innovation management’.

The workshop is taking place at 9.30am – 11.30am on Tuesday 17 March 2015 at a central London location and will be presented by Michael Browne, Head of European Research & Innovation (UCL). Please forward this information to your appropriate colleagues to confirm their attendance.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This workshop is vital to academic staff and researchers with an excellent scientific profile who have visionary research projects in mind and wish to realise in Europe, as well as research support staff looking to enhance the guidance they can give. In addition PGs will find it a valuable career development (discounted prices are available to PGs subject to availability).
