Save the Date: 2019 MSCA Individual Fellowship and COFUND Information Event in London

The UK Research Office (UKRO), in its capacity as UK National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), is holding an information event for organisations and individuals interested in applying to the 2019 MSCA Individual Fellowships call  (opened 11 April 2019, call deadline 11 September 2019) or the 2019 MSCA COFUND call (opened 4 April 2019, call deadline 26 September). The event in London will take place on 29 May 2019.

Aim of session
The event aims to provide participants with an overview of the IF and COFUND schemes. Participants should gain a clear understanding of the proposal format and the key considerations related to planning, writing and submitting proposals. There will also be ample opportunity to ask questions.

Aim of the Individual Fellowships and COFUND under MSCA
Individual Fellowships (IF) are aimed at researchers who already have a doctorate or equivalent research experience (more than 4 years full-time research experience). They help experienced researchers to advance their careers and gain new skills through training, international mobility and optional intersectoral secondments. European Fellowships are held in EU Member States and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries and are open to researchers either coming to Europe or moving within Europe. In addition to the subject specific panels, there are specific panels for those seeking to work in non-academic organisation (Society & Enterprise Panel), returning from a career break (Career Restart Panel) or wish to return to Europe after a period abroad (Reintegration Panel). In addition Global Fellowships are based on an initial secondment to a third country and a compulsory 12 month return phase in a European host organisation.

Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND) provides funding for new or existing regional, national or international programmes to open up international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary research training. Co-funding is available for post-doctoral fellowship programmes and for doctoral training programmes.

Who should attend?
The event is aimed at staff at UK academic and non-academic organisations, including industry, who are planning to submit a proposal to the Individual Fellowship or COFUND 2019 calls.
Please indicate in the Additional Information section of the registration page if you are planning on only attending part of the day.
