This event brings together the authors of the book “SHARE: A New Model for Social Work” (Siobhan Maclean, Jo Finch and Prospera Tedam) and some of the “stakeholder voice” contributors.
A key driver in developing the SHARE model was ensuring that the many voices of social work are heard, i.e. service users, carers, experts by experience, managers, academics, practitioners, students and practice educators. To that end, the book contains more than 40 “stakeholder voices”. The SHARE model therefore aims at re-orientating social work back to a more emancipatory and shared profession. The SHARE model can be applied in any social work setting and has great relevance for practice education.
The seminar and book launch, takes the audience through the SHARE model, the components of which are:
Seeing
Hearing
Action
Reading
Evaluation
The authors will introduce the what, why and how of the SHARE model with contributions from four stakeholders.
Refreshments and drinks will be provided and the book will be available for purchase at a special book launch discounted price.
