The UEL Athena SWAN mentoring programme aims to support the career development of female academics (and those aspiring to be academics).
Eligibility for participation
• The programme is initially aimed at female academics and those who are able to demonstrate an aspiration to become an academic
• Priority will be given for Schools where drop out points have been identified.
• Mentor applicants can be any member of staff who feel they can contribute positively in the career development of their mentee.
• Applications must demonstrate a commitment to their own career development.

How to become a UEL Athena SWAN Mentor or Mentee
There is a formal matching process for participation in the programme. The application form can be accessed here: https://uel.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/uel-athena-swan-mentoring-self-nomination-form. Those interested must complete an application form by 3rd June 2015 – 5pm.
The mentoring programme will commence in September 2015 with a development event for mentors and mentees followed by the opportunity for networking and further development / networking opportunities throughout the year.
